The sleeping brain

We are pleased to announce the 2019 edition of the Institut du Fer à Moulin (IFM) symposium “The Sleeping Brain” co-organized with Neuroscience Paris Seine (NPS).

4th of October 2019, Pierre et Marie Curie campus, Sorbonne Université, Paris.

This symposium will explore and discuss the mechanisms underlying sleep-related neuronal and glial activity and the role of sleep for synaptic plasticity and learning. This single day event addresses the latest in vivo methods for studying sleep and wake with a special focus on imaging in living micein vivo manipulation of neuronal activity and recordings of brain oscillations and neuronal ensemble activity.

This free colloquium will be held on Friday October 4th 2019 at Sorbonne Université on the Pierre et Marie Curie campus (Jussieu, Grand Auditorium).

We encourage students and post-docs to submit abstracts for poster presentations to make this symposium fruitful and dynamic. Ample time and space are provided to meet and exchange with experts in the field.

We look forward to welcoming you at the IFM/NPS Colloquium 2019!
