Réseaux synaptiques et neuroénergétiques

Le cortex cérébral est impliqué dans la perception, le mouvement et la cognition. Malgré cette diversité fonctionnelle, le réseau cortical est formé par la répétition d'un microcircuit qui comprend des neurones excitateurs et inhibiteurs. Nous avons contribué à classifier ces interneurones en un nombre restreint de types cellulaires (Cauli/Lambolez, co-leaders.

La fonction de transfert des circuits corticaux dépend d'état comportemental. Notre premier objectif est de comprendre comment les neuromodulateurs changent les propriétés du microcircuit (Lambolez). La consommation énergétique corticale dépend de l'activité, notre second objectif est de comprendre comment le microcircuit contrôle son propre énergétique et son métabolisme en interaction avec le réseau glio-vasculaire (Cauli).

Nous abordons ces questions aux échelles moléculaire, cellulaire et du réseau en tranches de cortex. Nous utilisons les techniques d'électrophysiologie et d'optogénétique combinées à la RT-PCR sur cellule unique et à l'histochimie. Nous recourons aussi largement à l'imagerie de biosenseurs luminescents ou fluorescents pour l'étude des activités du réseau cortical.
